WHAT DOES PPN 06/21 MEAN FOR YOU?

Procurement Policy Note 06/21 (PPN 06/21) is a mandatory UK Government policy that applies to all central government departments, executive agencies, and non-departmental public bodies. Since 30 September 2021, it has required suppliers bidding on public contracts valued at over £5 million per annum (excluding VAT) to submit a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) as part of their bid.

As of April 2024, this requirement has also been extended to all NHS suppliers, regardless of contract value, further reinforcing sustainability within the public procurement process.
