ISO 14068 CERTIFICATION

BECOMING CERTIFIED BY BRITISH STANDARDS INSTITUTE

Whilst offering third party verification of a organisations carbon neutrality, Tunley can also offer support in audits for your organisation to become certified by the British Standards Institute (BSI). The BSI will complete an audit which includes:

  • The GHG Inventory: This is the inventory that has all the calculations within and calculates the businesses carbon footprint aligned with the ISO14064-1 and the GHG Protocol. Tunley shall create this using raw data from you. In an audit from BSI, the source of the raw data shall be checked and Tunley shall ensure the calculations and inventory is aligned with the standards.
  • The GHG report: This report shall showcase the companies carbon footprint, compare it to the baseline year, and present the offset certificates for carbon neutrality. For certification, BSI shall audit this report and Tunley would ensure it passes.
  • Carbon Neutrality Management Plan: this is the a report that is created in the first year and updated in a scheduled agreement (such as yearly). The report is the road map to net zero and must align with Science Based methodology.

GLOBAL GOALS FOR CARBON NEUTRALITY

Governments are placing more emphasis on carbon neutrality, with the UK government leading the way by setting a goal for all businesses to achieve 'net zero' GHG emissions by 2050. Carbon neutrality is also a crucial objective for organisations looking to:

  • Contribute to the fight against climate change
  • Boost their sustainability reputation and enhance their ability to withstand challenges
  • Align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
  • Gain a competitive advantage by offering environmental products and services
  • Improve operational efficiency and reduce energy expenses.
What Is The Difference?

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAS 2080 AND ISO 14068

PAS 2080 and ISO 14068 are pivotal standards for the effective management of greenhouse gas emissions. However, they differ in their scope and application. ISO 14068 focuses on a company's entire carbon footprint and provides a roadmap towards achieving carbon neutrality. In contrast, PAS 2080 is designed specifically for evaluating the carbon footprint of individual projects, such as buildings and infrastructure.
