Establish your baseline from the amount of carbon produced by the organisation, product, or building. Following internationally recognised standards such as ISO 14064-1 will be used to quantify organisational emissions.
Primary data collection will feed into the quantification of emissions. A carbon footprint of your organisation, product, or building will be produced.
From the baseline, the largest emission sources can be identified and emissions reduction initiatives will be provided to target these key areas.
After a baseline has been set and reduction initiatives have been implemented, a further quantification following the same methodology and primary data collection is necessary to quantify the reduction and identify any additional causes in emissions.
